You can also do the Romana-Peña la Mina-Algayat trail.In September, the "Paella in the Park" party is held in which a giant paella pan is installed outside and the locals participate with music, fireworks, and street parties. In August, La Romana celebrates the spectacular Moors and Christians festival with incredible parades and costumes.The Gachamiga or Gazpacho Manchego are some of its most typical dishes.In the mountains of the Medio Vinalopó area we find an important variety of trees, bushes and animal species.Regarding the flora of the area, we highlight the pine, holm oaks in areas of difficult access and carob.
