If you are looking for a country house but prefer something different, then this is perfect. It would make a great B&B and offers so much. There is a large plot of land of about 5,000 sqm, totally private and fenced, with a great swimming pool, terraces, BBQ area etc and plenty of gardens. The house has 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, an open plan sitting room, nice kitchen and dining room. One of the exciting things about the property is the river at the bottom of the garden! The property also has a garage and is just off a quiet country road but within walking distance of a local bar restaurant. The main towns of Alcala la Real and Alcaudete are about 10 to 15 mins drive, so for rural tourism this is ideal, but as a family home this is also perfect.
Sabariego in Jaen province is a small village that belongs to Alcaudete. The town is located near San Juan River where you can visit a Roman Bridge. Also, on the top of the hill you can visit the Atalaya de la Harina, an Arab watchtower. There are several fiestas held throughout the year including Fiesta del Palo – It takes place in the 1st of May. People from the town go to the San Juan River, looking for the tallest tree, to cut and bring it to the centre of the town. There, people gather together and enjoy the day having lunch with family and friends. The importance of the trunk is that later on, in the afternoon, a jamon is hung at the top and people will try to get it climbing the trunk. There is also the Fiesta de la Candelaria – Celebrated on the 2nd of February. With the branches and trunks cut from the olive trees, people make a bonfire around which they have dinner and enjoy the evening with family and friends.
