Since its inception in the 1970s (after local entrepreneur, Justo Quesada, decided to build his own town), it has grown into a bustling town with a busy high street lined by shops, bars and restaurants, its own town hall and even a golf course. It is home to people of all nationalities and has English and Norwegian schools. 
Quesada is ideally located, just ten minutes from the golden sand beaches of Guardamar Del Segura and only 30 minutes from Alicante airport. The beach town of Torrevieja is about 15 minutes by car and the beaches of Orihuela Costa a few minutes more. Zenia Boulevard shopping centre is also within easy reach.
