The town of Huéscar is a 15 minute drive with more amenities and a 24 hr health centre. Galera is situated at the confluence of two small rivers, and enjoys views of the valleys and distant mountains. Surrounded by several natural parks, there are options for hiking and mountain biking, and water-based activities. There are pristine turquoise lakes within 20-45 minutes, and two spring water swimming pools within a 10 minute drive.
