This country house is located on the outskirts of the village of Carrión, which is approximately 8 km from the castle hilltop town of Alburquerque. Nearby is the Gevora river and the 'Ermita de Carrión' which can be easily admired from the terrace!
This country house has 6600 sq. M. Of land (1.6 acres) together with a three bedroomed house and outside kitchen.
The sitting room has an open fire, for the winter months, kitchen, bathroom, and three double sized bedrooms, which are all on the same level. There is a storeroom below the house which houses an ideal space, currently used for homemade wine. There is a lovely traditional, outside kitchen with large open fireplace, which opens onto another terrace. Below this terrace houses a wood store.
To the front of the house is an above ground, brick built, water deposit (about 6x8m) which could be used for cooling off in the summer months! This water is currently used for watering trees in the garden, and include fig, olives, and walnut. Included in the land is a space which would be suitable for growing vegetables.
Electric is connected with the water coming from a well.
This would make a fine family home but, in my opinion, the house would benefit from the renovation of the water tank used for water within the house and installation of a septic tank, probably costing around 5,000 euros in total.
