Puerto de Mazarron is situated in a lovely bay surrounded by mountains and has lots of blue flag beaches and promenades. There are 2 marinas and many shops, and restaurants of varying international cuisines. It also has a large medical centre, library, commercial centres and bus depot with routes to the main cities of Murcia and Cartagena and the airport.
Many festivals are held during the year, religious ones and outdoor music events. Sub aqua diving is very popular due to the clear waters. The jet ski championships are held in the bay each year too and the tour de Spain has been through the port on a number of occasions.
The airport is just 45 minutes drive and the nearest golf course is 20 minutes away.
