The city of Elche is around 15 minutes drive and the fantastic beaches of La Marina, Santa Pola and Arenals del Sol around 30 minutes. Also within an easy drive from Crevillent are several popular attractions. Just down the road towards Albatera is the beautiful Carmen del Campillo Tea House. This stunning Arabian style villa is a magical place of peace and tranquility where delightful gardens beckon visitors to sit for a while.

Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000, the famous Palm Groves of Elche are the largest of their kind in Europe. They attract thousands of visitors each year, and the city is also home to Spain’s largest footwear industry. On the outskirts of the city is a favorite with the young ones, Rio Safari Elche. This makes for a wonderful day out with different animal zones and exciting shows. What sets it apart from other animal parks is its excellent leisure facilities. Visitors can enjoy the safari train, go-kart track and swimming pool with its fun water slide.The nearby beaches of Santa Pola are a haven for wind and water sports. Santa Pola is the closest point on mainland Spain to Tabarca Island. This was declared a protected marine reserve and bird sanctuary in 1986. Tabarca is the most popular boat trip on the Costa Blanca, and in peak summer months the island receives up to 3,000 visitors a day! Be sure to bring along snorkelling gear to enjoy the crystal waters and view the pretty marine flora fauna.

Lying a few kilometers north of Santa Pola is the beautiful golden sand beach of Arenals del Sol. This is a long stretch of fine sand with good facilities and views to Alicante Bay. Backing the beach are numerous bars and restaurants. Further beaches to the south include those in the small town of La Marina.
