There are three airports within an easy commute, Almeria and Murcia one hour in each direction and Alicante less than 2 hours. There are several award winning golf courses in the area and golf societies that play weekly at courses such as Valle del Este, Desert Springs, Aguillon etc. In the village of Arboleas there are two gyms, padel tennis, table tennis, darts ,craft clubs, walking, dancing and cycling groups. Something for everyone. There is also a medical centre, chemist, post office, vets, hairdressers, 2 banks, small shops, pavement tapas bars and restaurants. On Saturdays a large weekly street market takes place. The larger town of Albox is less than 10 minutes drive with many more facilities. The area has so much to offer.
