The ground floor/entrance level…

The front door of the house enters into a large living room that comes with contemporary storage & free-standing TV units, two remote-controlled ceiling fan lights and two windows overlooking the street. An elegant marble staircase with wrought iron balustrades lead up to the first-floor landing.

From the lounge you pass through an inner hallway which gives access to a very useful ground floor bathroom on the right, a separate dining room to the left which, in turn leads into the main kitchen.

From the hallway you also have access to an outside Andalusian patio. Located in the hallway is a built-in large larder/storage cupboard.

The downstairs bathroom is fully tiled with bath & shower mixer taps, sink, toilet & bidet, along with storage cupboard.

The dining room is a spacious traditional tiled dining room with a wood burning fire which gives a warm ambience for the winter evenings.

An open doorway leads to an American style fully tiled kitchen with floor & wall units which has been recently decorated. Here you will find a built-in electric oven/gas hob. Free standing fridge/freezer, double sink with mixer taps and granite worktops.

To the rear of the hallway through sliding patio doors you enter a traditional open and airy Andalusian patio with steps leading to a large basement level.

The lower ground floor…

On the lower ground floor you will find a large lobby area giving access to a room which can be used as a fourth bedroom. However, if you don’t need an extra bedroom, this space can work as a home office/study or a gymnasium, cinema space or anything you wish to use it for.

Leading from the lobby you enter a large spacious basement area. This area can also have many uses including a workshop or simply giving you ample storage space.

From the basement area is a bodega and an under stairs wood store. This whole level can be adapted to suit the needs of new owners – it could, with the necessary approvals become a separate level of accommodation for guests or for extended family/teenagers.

First floor…

The stairs rise up from the living room to the main bedroom level. A spacious landing leads to all bedrooms and the bathroom but this space is also large enough to be used as a second living area or snug. There is a Juliet balcony on this space to connect you with the town.

Bedroom 1 is a good size bedroom with a free-standing pine wardrobe and remote-controlled air conditioning unit. Additionally, the room offers a remote-controlled ceiling fan with light.

Bedroom 2 is another good double bedroom with a double bed and a remote-controlled ceiling fan with light.

Bedroom 3 is a single bedroom and has a built in wardrobe.

The family bathroom comes with shower, toilet, bidet & sink unit.

Second floor…

The upper floor of the house is where you will find a large terrace area that is the a perfect space for relaxing, entertaining and extends the living space for much of the year.

There is also a summer kitchen with fitted units and a utility room with sink & plumbed in washing machine. This area is perfect for entertaining and for enjoying the best of the weather.

Additionally the terrace has access to an open air shower and water tap.

Rute and the Subbetica National Park

Rute is a traditional Spanish town with approximately 10,000 inhabitants within the boundaries of the Subbetica National Park. Just 1 hour from Malaga Airport and the coast. Rute is also central for Granada (just over an hour); Cordoba (about 50 mins); Sevilla (about 2 hrs)

Only a 15-minute drive from Rute is Iznájar Reservoir which is the largest artificial lake in Spain. Pantano de Iznájar has a man-made beach with pedalos, canoes and a lake tour boat. There are two beach restaurants which offer good traditional Spanish cuisine.

Rute has lot of interesting museums showcasing the different industries the town is famed for including the production of Anis. Sugar, Ham, Chocolate & Anis Museums all can be found in and around the town along with many bars & restaurants.

This is a bustling town which doesn’t rely on tourism for its wealth. This means it is a year round town that thrives on its local trade and custom. A warm welcome is guaranteed and once you integrate into the local community, you will be seen as one of the locals.
