This is a lovely 3 or 4 bed semi-detached house in the charming village of Pilas de Fuente Soto, near the town of Alcala la Real. The historic town of Alcala la Real is situated in the southern hills of the province of Jaén, nearby are the provinces of Granada and Córdoba. Alcala la Real is ideally situated just 45 minutes drive from Granada and its airport, and one hour and 30 minutes from the beautiful Mediterranean coastline and Malaga airport. The town provides an ideal base to visit the wonderful province of Jaén and visit the cities of Jaén or Granada, plus it’s the perfect destination if you want to really enjoy traditional Spanish life and culture. Alcala la Real is overlooked by a Moorish castle, La Mota, which was reclaimed by the Christians in the fourteenth century and boasts wonderful panoramic views to the surrounding countryside. The neighbourhood of El Llanillo, which encloses around the town hall, is an area of particular historic and architectural interest. The town provides great amenities including a medical centre, bus station, museum, library, sports centre, swimming pool, supermarkets, shops and a good choice of bars and restaurants. There is also a large market in the town every Tuesday. The picturesque Plaza Paseo de los Alamos in the middle of this old and historic town is a good place to take a stroll and sit and soak up the local Andalusian culture.
